Gaumukh Trek: A trail to paradise on Earth

Situated at Gangotri, Gaumukh is one of the major sources that contribute to the formation of the river Ganga. This place is in the state of Uttarakhand. The front or terminus of the Gangotri glacier resembles a shape like cow’s mouth. And, that is from where this place gets its name - Gau meaning cow and Mukh meaning face. Surrounded by mountain peaks offering limitless beauty of nature, this is a place which will leave you in awe.

• In case of prior payment through PayTm/online, the cost of per bag will be Rs 1,200 for the entire trip. Booking needs to be done 7 days prior to journey date

• Backpack should not weigh more than 10 kg and should have waterproof cover

• Suitcase and trolley bags are not allowed

Gaumukh Trek: Cancellation Policy

  • For cancellation before 30 days, we refund 100% of the tour cost
  • Between 15-30 days, we refund 75% of the tour cost
  • For 0-15 days, we refund 50% of the tour cost
  • In case of cancellation due to weather or government rules, we will try present an alternate solution. However, there will be no cash refund
  • The cancellation policies are according to the same mentioned in the website irrespective of trip or date of booking

Gaumukh Trek: Refund Policy

  • The amount, applicable for return, will be refunded within 7-14 business days
  • All applicable refunds will be refunded through the same mode of payment in which they were paid

Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun to Gangotri drive

This is the day we start our journey. We meet at Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun and start our drive towards Gangotri

After reaching the place, we check in at hotel for overnight

Gangotri to Chirbasa trek

After having breakfast, we start our trek towards Chirbasa

This is a dense thicket of chir and pine trees. This place is absolutely stunning to explore

At night we stay at camp

Chirbasa to Bhojbasa trek

A new day and a new trail to explore! On this day, we start our journey after breakfast

Upon reaching Bhojbasa we will stay in a camp

Surrounding by incredible beauty, we will enjoy the beauty of the campsite

After dinner, we retire of the night

Bhojbasa to Gaumukh to Tapovan trek

This is the day we start our journey to explore Gaumukh, the source of the Ganges

After visiting the place we start our trek to Tapovan, a beautiful alpine meadow. The hike in this area will be steeper than the others

We will stay at campsite in Tapovan for the night

Rest day at Tapovan

This is the day we rest at Tapovan and explore the nearby areas

Tapovan to Bhojbasa trek

Today is the day we actually start our return journey and leave the beautiful Tapovan to trek back to Bhojbasa

During the hike, we come across amazing beauty of nature

We stay overnight at Bhojbasa

Bhojbasa to Gangotri trek

We start our journey after breakfast

We trek downhill to Gangotri while exploring the mesmerising surroundings

At night we retire at hotel for overnight stay

Gangotri to Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun drive

This is the day we start our journey towards Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun from Gangotri by road

Upon reaching Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun, we say our goodbyes and go home with happy memories of the trip
